Vendors sought
Craft and food vendors for Christmas in America, the lighting of Columbia County's official Christmas tree, are being sought. The event will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Justice Center in Evans. For information, call Stacie Adkins at 868-3458.
Christmas parade
The Grovetown Department of Public Safety is accepting applications for the 31st annual Grovetown Christmas parade, which starts at noon Dec. 4. Applications are available at the Public Safety Office, 306 E. Robinson Ave., or by e-mail at grovetowndps@cji.net. For information, call 863-1212.

Christmas help
The Salvation Army is accepting makeup applications for Christmas assistance from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Friday at the Salvation Army's social service center, 1384 Greene Street. For information ,call 826-7933.
Golf tournament
A golf tournament to benefit Christmas House at Fort Gordon will begin with 8 a.m. registration and shotgun start at 9 a.m. today at Gordon Lakes. Entry fees are $60 per player or $240 per team, with prizes and drawings. Christmas House assists military personnel and their families during the holidays. Air Force concert
The Air Force's Top in Blue will offer a night of family entertainment at 7 p.m. today at Fort Gordon's Alexander Hall. The evening will feature different music genres. For information, call (210) 652-6566.
Veterans tribute
Bellevue Chapel at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, will be the site of a veterans tribute gospel sing at 3 p.m. Sunday, with music by the Byrd Family, Grank Greiner, and the Roberts. The concert is presented by Bible Fellowship Church. For information, call 651-1971.
