Marvin E. "Trip" Brown III and Susanne Elizabeth Rogers were named Mr. and Miss Lakeside High School on Sept. 24. Faculty and staff members assign the honor to the top two seniors who demonstrate leadership, academic involvement and maturity. Trip is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Brown Jr., and Susanne is the daughter of Ms. Katherine Ford and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rogers Jr.

Erin Wilkerson, of Appling, entered Liberty University as a freshman this fall. Wilkerson is a graduate of Augusta Christian School. Kendra Woodcock, of Martinez, also entered Liberty University as a freshman this fall and is a graduate of Augusta Christian School.
Program attendee
Augusta Christian Senior Jon Williams attended a four-week summer program at Lee University. Williams took two classes, The Physics of Stuff and The Human Machine, and earned six college credits for the summer work. Williams is planning to attend Lee University in the fall, and he is considering majoring in chemistry.
Dean's List
Ashby Bethune, of Evans, made the Dean's List for the spring semester at Augusta State University. He is a 2002 graduate of Greenbrier High School and the son of Carl and Charlotte Bethune, of Evans.
Youth leader
Fayelyn Bilodeau, of Martinez, was recently selected to participate in the National Young Leaders State Conference in Atlanta. Bilodeau is a freshman at Augusta Preparatory Day School and is on the Red Cross Youth Board, plays volleyball on the school's junior varsity team, sings in the chorus, and is an honor roll student.
Bryan Sinclair Hawkins, of Evans, has been selected as a new member of the 2004-05 Moot Court Honor Society at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Miss. He is the son of Dr. Sandra J. Black, of Evans, and Dr. David W. Hawkins, of Snellville, Ga. Bryan Hawkins graduated from Evans High School in 1998 and received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Georgia in 2003. He plans to graduate from the law school in 2006.

She also was recently awarded the Mary Beth Reagan Award for citizenship. She is active at Trinity-on-the-Hill Methodist Church.
