Why we endorse

It is the policy of The Columbia County News-Times to evaluate local candidates and offer to our readers the benefit of our careful consideration by voicing our opinions on those candidates.
We pledge to our readers that we have no hidden ties to any of the candidates, and that this newspaper's editorial recommendations are made in what we believe are the best interests of our community.
Please remember to cast your vote Tuesday, Nov. 2.
