Seminar and festival

Mosaic, a United Methodist congregation, will hold a one-day seminar on financial peace and a fall festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church, 476 Columbia Industrial Blvd. The cost for the seminar is the donation of a canned good to benefit the Spooky to be Hungry food drive. The festival will include lunch, crafts, games and an inflatable ball jump. Call 650-9187.

Yard sale

There will be a gigantic yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 N. Belair Road, Evans. There will be a bake sale and a pumpkin patch. Call 869-0888.

Church barbecue

There will be an open-pit barbecue chicken dinner sale from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Marvin United Methodist Church, 4400 Wheeler Road, Martinez. Visitors will be able to purchase items from the country store. For information, call 863-0510.

Fall festival

A family fall festival will last from 5-10 p.m. Saturday at Mistletoe State Park in Winfield. There will be music, a pumpkin scavenger hunt, apple bobbing and hayrides. The cost is $5 per vehicle and free to camping and cottage guests. For information, call 541-0321.

Art of chocolate

Child Enrichment Inc., The Shelter, CASA, and Child Advocacy Center for Abused Children presents the ninth annual Art of Chocolate 7 p.m. Friday at Pullman Hall, 560 Walton Way, Augusta. There will be culinary delights, live music and desserts by the area's finest chefs. Black tie is optional. Tickets are $50. For information, call 737-4631.

Stamp show

The 28th annual Greater Augusta Stamp Show will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Guesthouse International Inn, 3023 Washington Road, in Augusta. The show will commemorate the 200th anniversary of the death of George Walton of Meadow Gardens. Admission is free. For information, call 798-6695.

Trick-or-treat cruise

The Augusta Canal will hold a Halloween trick-or-treat inside the Canal Interpretive Center at Enterprise Mill, 1450 Greene St., at 6 p.m. Oct. 28-29 with a 45-minute tour on the Petersburg boat at 6:30 p.m. Costumes are urged for children and their chaperones. Advance tickets are $8, or $10 on the nights of the cruise (if available). For tickets call 823-0440, extension 4.

Free jazz concert

The Augusta State Conservatory Jazz Band will hold a free jazz concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the ASU Performing Arts Center. For information, call 731-7971.
