Dean's List
Michelle L. Howlett, of Martinez, has been named to the Dean's List for the summer quarter at South University School of Pharmacy.
College graduate
John W. Mullens III, of Evans, has graduated in May with a master's degree in administration degree from Central Michigan University.
Scholarship winner
Melissa A. Brodecker, of Martinez, has been selected by the Georgia Military College Scholarship Committee to receive the John A. Sibley Scholarship and the John T. & Gene Williamson Scholarship for 2004-05. The award will help Brodecker pay for the expenses incurred for tuition, books or uniforms while studying at Georgia Military College. Brodecker is a graduate of Evans High School.
Youth leader
Fayelyn Bilodeau, of Martinez, was recently selected to participate in the National Young Leaders State Conference in Atlanta. Bilodeau is a freshman at Augusta Preparatory Day School, a member of the Red Cross Youth Board and an honor roll student. She also was recently awarded the Mary Beth Reagan Award for citizenship and is active at Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church.
College entrance
Erin Wilkerson, of Appling, entered Liberty University as a freshman this fall. Wilkerson is a graduate of Augusta Christian School. Kendra Woodcock, of Martinez, also entered Liberty University as a freshman this fall and is a graduate of Augusta Christian School.
Dean's List
The following Columbia County students were named to the Dean's List at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah for the summer quarter: Joanna Renner, of Evans, who is a fashion major and is the daughter of Gene Renner and Sharon Renner; and Nestor Nieves, of Martinez, who is an interactive design/game development major and is the son of Nestor Nieves and Wanda Nieves.
