Lakeside Middle School Teacher of the Year

Starr Johnson, Lakeside Middle's Teacher of the Year, received a bachelor of business administration in accounting and a bachelor of science in education from Augusta State University. She also has earned a masters of science in administration from Central Michigan University.

In 1998, she joined the Lakeside Middle faculty as an eighth-grade math teacher.
When asked what she enjoys most about teaching, Johnson said, "I am grateful that my position affords me the opportunity to meet and interact with so many great students. I value the chance to convey an appreciation for math to others and demonstrate the importance of math in our daily lives."
