South Columbia Elementary Teacher of the Year

Michelle Beasley has been a kindergarten teacher at South Columbia Elementary for 12 years. She taught first grade for two years and has just begun her 10th year as a kindergarten teacher.

Beasley received a BS degree from Georgia Southern University, a MA degree from Central Michigan University and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. degree through Nova Southeastern University.

She lives in Columbia County with her husband, Chris, and her two children, Mason and Allie.

Beasley said she feels fortunate to work with a dedicated faculty and with her longtime paraprofessional, Cindy Smith.
