School Board District 1 forum

Regina Buccafusco, Columbia County Board of Education District 1 member, will hold a public forum 9 a.m. Saturday at the Evans High School auditorium. The forum will provide an opportunity for the public to present issues and concerns related to the school system.

New club organizing

Administrative assistants, office administrators and other administrative support personnel are invited to an information meeting for the Evans Towne Center International Association of Administrative Professionals at 6 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Jury Assembly Room on the second floor of the Columbia County Justice Center, 640 Ronald Reagan Drive, Evans. "Street-smart" training

Gold Cross Emergency Medical Service will hold a "street-smart" workshop 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Columbia County Government Complex, 630 Ronald Regan Drive. The class is good for two CEU hours. Admission is free. For information, call 869-8940.

Writers meet

The CSRA writers' meeting will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Barnes and Noble Booksellers, 1336 Augusta West Parkway. Writers needing a support group are invited to attend and bring eight copies of a manuscript to be critiqued. For information, call 738-4114.
