College graduate

Hubert Cook, of Fort Gordon, has graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in American studies from Carleton College during its 130th Commencement exercises. Cook is the son of Charles Cook and Naomi Cook, of Fort Gordon.

Class reunion

Harlem High School's graduating class of 1954 held its 50-year class reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Washington in Hephzibah on Sept. 3. A meal was prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Washington. A candle was lit in memory of three deceased classmates.

Medical degree

Brian Thomas Fletcher, a Grovetown resident, recently was awarded a medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Fletcher, the son of William C. and Yong K. Fletcher, is a 1992 graduate of Evans High School. Fletcher will begin his residency in emergency medicine in New York.

Dean's list

Jessica Shevonne Baker, of Evans, and Sarah Elizabeth Rogers, of Martinez, have been named to the dean's list for the summer semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Faculty honors

Jennifer M. Minnow, of Evans, and Aaron Michael Scott, of Evans, have earned the distinction of faculty honors for the summer semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dean's list

Michelle L. Howlett, of Martinez, has been named to the dean's list for the summer quarter at South University School of Pharmacy.
