Peace Officer's Course
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office will sponsor a Basic Peace Officer's course through the East Georgia Regional Police Academy for anyone interested in becoming a certified law enforcement officer. The cost of the training is $2,850, and the HOPE Grant may be available.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have no criminal record.
