KEY PLAYERS - Morgan County: QB Bancs Bowers, RB Richard Chamberlain.

Greenbrier: Junior LB Reggie Rice; junior LB Erik Smith; senior RB Tyler Dent.

KEY MATCHUP - The Wolfpack linebackers will have to stop Chamberlain.

OUTLOOK - Morgan County romped over Greenbrier's region-mate Jones County, 29-0. The Bulldogs also beat Class-AAAA Luella in a preseason game. Morgan County isn't a normal Class-AA team and Greenbrier will have their hands full.

Westside (1-0) at Lakeside (0-0-1)

7:30 Panther Stadium

KEY PLAYERS - Westside: Senior LB Jay Tarver, senior WR Eric Taylor, senior OL Troy Koone.

Lakeside: Senior QB Jimmy Johnson, senior RB Carl Burrow, senior LB/FB Reggie Porter.

KEY MATCHUP - The Panthers secondary will have to contain the tall and athletic Taylor. The Patriots like to throw jump balls to Taylor.

OUTLOOK - Evans knocked off Westside in its final preseason contest, but the Patriots rebounded against ARC last week. Lakeside's option offense could be tough for Westside to handle.

Harlem (0-1) at Hancock Central (0-1)

7:30

KEY PLAYERS - Harlem: Junior RB Gabe Greer, senior RB Chris Newsome, sophomore LB/FB Maurice Williams.

KEY MATCHUP - The Bulldogs will have to establish a strong run game, which they did against Evans last week.

OUTLOOK - If Harlem minimizes mistakes, they should be able to handle Class-A Hancock.

Jefferson County (0-1) at Evans (1-0)

7:30 Blanchard Stadium

KEY PLAYERS - Jefferson Co.: Senior OL Willie Thompson, senior OL Cameron Walker, senior ATH Ervin Hinkins.

Evans: Senior RB Cheng Ho, senior QB Brad Freeman, senior DB/RB Jay Acree.

KEY MATCHUP-Evans walked through Harlem's defensive line but yielded more than 5 yards a carry to the Bulldogs. Jefferson County's powerful o-line will be a tough matchup for Evans' defensive line.

OUTLOOK-The Warriors were shocked by Cross Creek last week and will be looking to redeem themselves. Evans looked very impressive against Harlem and should have an advantage by playing at home.

Augusta Christian at Richard Winn

7:30

KEY PLAYERS - ACS: Junior QB Lee Banks, senior TE/LB Toby Brown, sophomore RB Kyle Meeks

KEY MATCHUP - The Eagles will have to stop the Lions' running attack that averaged 7.6 yards a carry in the season opener.

OUTLOOK - The Lions showed they were ready for business in SCISA by taking out defending state champs and top-ranked Colleton Prep last week. Look for the Lions to continue their welcoming party.
