Government shouldn't interfere with American free enterprise

Sunday's editorial, "Clearing the air on smoking ban," tries to equate a smoking ban with civil rights. Segregation was illegal and violated the Constitution. Smoking is legal for all who are of the legal age. They are entirely different issues.

I feel that government should not be telling business owners to ban a legal activity. If a business desires to be smoke-free, then that is excellent. Maybe they will have more revenue or maybe less, but that is their choice. Under the American system of free enterprise the market will control how the businesses operate and which are successful. We do not need the government interfering.
