Commissioner Ford should reconsider vote against smoke ban

I am disappointed in County Commissioner Diane Ford's negative vote last Tuesday on the smoking ban in Columbia County. I do not believe she understands the full concept of property rights, particularly when it comes to the property rights of a business open to serve the public.

I heard today someone comparing a restaurant having a smoking section to a swimming pool having a urinating section. It just does not work out to be a healthy idea.

I hope Ford will please reconsider her position for the health of Columbia County, and vote for the smoking ban on the next vote.
