Football correction
Two players were omitted from a list of Columbia County former football players recently featured in The Columbia County News-Times football issue.
Russell Gambrell, formerly a Lakeside player, plays cornerback for Tennessee-Martin. Another former Panther, Chris Mitchem, plays linebacker for West Georgia.
The News-Times regrets the omissions.
Kickboxing champ
Terrie Hicks, a student at Augusta Martial Arts Academy in Martinez, won the North American Kickboxing Championship for the second consecutive year in her weight class.
