Volleyball Rankings

The Greenbrier Lady Wolfpack volleyball team is ranked seventh in theGeorgia Sports Network's preseason poll.

The Wolfpack finished fifth in Class-AAAA last year, compiling a 38-9 record on the way to a region title.

Kickboxing Championships

Terri Hicks and Brad Taylor, of Augusta Martial Arts Academy in Martinez, competed in the International Kickboxing Federation's North America Classic in Orlando.

The tournament, held last weekend, is the largest kickboxing event in the country. Results of the event were not immediately known.

Hole in One

Evans resident Evan Usry, 10, recently made a hole-in-one at the Rocky Branch Golf Course in Lincolnton.

Evan holed the 102-yard hole with a 7-iron. Witnesses were David Usry and Kevin Drayton.
