School councils

Columbia Middle School's school council will meet at the school at 8 a.m. Aug. 30, Oct. 14, Jan. 10, March 7 and May 2.
Evans Elementary School's council will meet in the media center 3:30 p.m. Sept. 13, Nov. 8, Feb. 7 and May 2. For information, call 863-1202.
Bel Air Elementary's school council will meet 7:15 a.m. Aug. 10 in the media center, and set the schedule of meetings for the rest of the year.
Lakeside Middle School's council will meet Aug. 10, Oct. 12, Feb. 8 and April 19.
Harlem Middle School's council will meet at 4 p.m. in the office conference room Aug. 18, Nov. 11, Feb. 9 and May 11.
Child safety seminar
A seminar on child passenger safety for child-care providers will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at Advent Lutheran Church, 3232 Washington Road. Cost is $5, and the class offers two hours of continuing education credit. For information, call 721-5437.
Preschool, MDO signups

West Acres Baptist Church is accepting registration for its mother's day out program for ages 18 months to 4 years of age. For information, call 863-2542.
