My momma always told me that the word "hate" should not be in my vocabulary. Therefore, I don't really "hate" the following; I just dislike, don't care for or disagree with them.
I hate unloading the dishwasher. Loading it is great. Why can't I just leave everything in it and just get stuff out as needed?
I hate reality shows on TV. Most of them are so cruel. Can you imagine taking your young child to a TV show and asking him to eat worms, roaches or whatever else is required to win money? Where are the authorities when these kids need them? Children are taken away from families for lesser reasons that that.
I dislike skinny models. It's not nice to say you hate other people. My husband sees all these gorgeous women on TV advertising exercise equipment, bikinis that result in using that equipment and skimpy little dresses that also result in using the equipment. God never meant for me to be skinny. If He did, He would allow my body to consume chocolate, French fries and cheesecake as much as it wants without any consequences.
I don't agree with people who say computers make your work so much easier. I can spend a solid hour inputting information and, all of a sudden, the screen goes blank. I don't know what button I pushed. I don't know how to get it back up, and worst of all, I don't remember what I wrote. It's called a "senior moment," folks. It's also the reason I dream of having my little manual typewriter back.
I wholeheartedly disagree with those who think all young people are bad. These grouches truly believe all teenagers are on dope, don't care about their future and disrespect their parents. They always look at the glass being half-empty. The sad thing is, it's almost impossible to change their minds.
When you run across somebody like this, there's no use to argue. Just use factual accounts as best you can, like the straight-A student who lives next door, the teenager up the street who volunteers at the food bank or the young lady who helps to care for an aging grandparent. There are hundreds of stories such as this. Give these kids the benefit of the doubt. You won't be sorry.
