Columbia County's congressman and Harlem's favorite son come out on top in a poll seeking the best the community has to offer.
In the reader's survey for the 2004 Community Choice Awards, U.S. Rep. Charlie Norwood and the late comedian Oliver Hardy are recognized as the "Most-known person from Columbia County."
The second-annual contest, compiled from reader votes, recognizes everything from the best place to get pizza (Upper Crust) the best local florist (Martina's) the best auto-body repair shop (Cushman's) to the county1s best-kept secret (Savannah Rapids Pavilion).
