Endorsement: Joey Brush, Senate

I support Joey Brush for senator because of what he did to preserve martial arts training in the state of Georgia. He took a great fight to the Senate floor to protect the rights of all martial arts school owners and trainers by fighting corruptible influences of special interest groups. For two years running, well funded lobbyist and others with a demonstrated pro-criminal interests have pushed to get bills passed that would allow for the influence and control of most of the martial arts business to be handed over to groups that would seek to destroy them as a character-building enterprise. Even though these bills got through the House in 2003 and 2004 and were pushed hard in the Senate, senator Joey Brush stood up for what is right and stopped them both times.

Brush held firm, and stood strong for the little guys and girls out there and would not cave in to the lobbyist pressures and threats that were made upon him and others. His adherence to principles should not go unnoticed. Brush should be allowed to continue to serve us all in this way through our support and votes. ...
