Endorsement: Joey Brush, Senate

Contrary to many of the comments made about the State Senate race between Joey Brush and Jim Whitehead, District 24 covers much more than just Columbia County. I have lived in Wilkes County for eight years now, and Sen. Brush has been my state senator during that time. Brush has worked very hard for us, and any time we have any problems, or questions, he has been very helpful.

I can honestly say that Joey has been one of the very few legislators who can always be reached, and who will work on a problem until it is fixed. Very few districts have someone working that hard for them, or putting that much time into serving their community!

Would Whitehead work that hard? Would he be able to? Does he know the time it takes? The personal commitment it takes? The effort it takes to get to a leadership position in the Senate? No! I don't think Jim understands the long days, and short nights that being in the legislature calls for. . . .

I m supporting Joey because he s done a good job. He s gotten things done for us, and we need him to stay in his Senate seat to continue getting the job done.
