On behalf of the coalition for CHANGE, this is an endorsement for Diane Ford for Columbia County Commission for the following reasons:

She has 12 years' experience and proven leadership and dedication to her duties; she keeps her word; she truly listens to the people in her district and to those outside her district.

Diane cares for Columbia County as a whole and doesn't have an attitude of "I don't care how I vote on this issue because it isn't in my district and I have nothing to lose."

Ford does not bend the rules, but honors ordinances, upholds local laws, interprets them correctly and applies them fairly. She thinks for herself rather than giving in to political pressure from others. She is an advocate for homeowners and neighborhoods while balancing responsible growth. She has an open-door policy and is responsive to calls, e-mails and letters.

Ford has no hidden agendas. She shares opinions and explains the reasons behind every vote. She provides balance to the Commission. She has genuine interest in fair and just government and honors her oath to uphold the integrity of her office. With Ford, there is no conflict of interests; she is fair to all, with no favoritism or special interests or individuals.

Ford possesses enthusiasm, commitment, diligence, honesty, integrity and dignity, and again, experience.
