Sheriff's office excelled under Whittle; opponent 'arrogant twit'

Sheriff Clay Whittle has made the Columbia County Sheriff's Office a law enforcement institution that is highly respected statewide. Officers seek employment here first because of its pay, enhanced training, qualification requirements and merit promotion system. That it is a great place to live is a bonus.

I know a little of Whittle's opponent. When he "got" the security job in the Columbia County school system through his family's name and influence, he was an arrogant little twit who flaunted his authority... . Are we now to give this immature little man the job as sheriff of Columbia County because of his family's name and influence?
