I am writing to urge voters to support Lewis Blanchard in the upcoming primary for the Columbia County sheriff's election. Lewis was a student in my classroom at Evans High School in the early '80s. Without a doubt he was mature far beyond his years and earned the respect of every adult with whom he was associated. Even at that time he demonstrated his unquestionable integrity through his daily actions.

Since his graduation from Evans High, I have kept in touch with Blanchard as he has tackled one major project after another, from organizing and overseeing a security force for Columbia County schools to running several very successful businesses.

Blanchard's amazing work ethic, his integrity, his sound business sense, his ability to work with people from all backgrounds, his respect for the law and his vision for Columbia County make him the only choice for Columbia County sheriff.

Electing Lewis Blanchard will ensure that Columbia County has a man in the sheriff's office who will treat all the people in Columbia County with respect and who will skillfully represent us as we move into the next phases of growth.

Lewis Blanchard has my support in the July 20 Republican primary, and I urge other voters to cast their votes for him as well.
