Basketball camps

Augusta Christian Lady Lions basketball camps for girls grades 4-8 will be 1-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday . Cost for the camps, to be held at the school, is $80. For information, call 863-2905.

Soccer tryouts

The Columbia County Patriots Select soccer tryouts for the 2004-05 season continue Monday for boys and girls age 8-12, and June 14, 17, 19 and 21 for boys and girls in the U13-U17 bracket. Tryouts are free, and are 6:30 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. Saturday. For information, call 399-0252 or 860-1148.

Basketball camp

Sure-Shot Basketball Camp for boys entering grades 6-9 will be 1-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at Lakeside Middle School and June 14-18 at Riverside Middle School. Cost is $80. Baseball Camp

Volleyball camp

Baseball showcase

The Georgia Dug Out Club and USA baseball are co-sponsoring an underclassmen's showcase for the Augusta area on June 21.

The showcase is for Georgia high school baseball players who will enter the 10th-12th grades in the 2004-2005 school year. The Augusta showcase will take place at Augusta State University.

The cost to participate is $75 and registration is available on site at 8:30 the day of the event and online at

Football conditioning
