Funding for the arts

Columbia County Commissioner Ron Cross (center) accepts a check for Columbia County Arts Inc., from David W. Jones, vice president of Gerald Jones Volkswagen, during a ceremony on the steps of the courthouse. Also attending the ceremony were Fred and Maria Elser, the owners of Stage III (left) and Gordon Renshaw, Director of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce. The check will help with the cost of the performing arts center that will be part of the new library complex.
