History lesson

Local historian Bill Blackard recently led North Columbia Elementary School first-graders on a tour of Appling. One stop along the way was Walnut Grove, a one-room schoolhouse beside the Board of Education office in Appling. Superintendent Tommy Price explained the history of the school and gave a comparison of the classroom of today and the past.
