County officials bent the rules to allow Rhinehart's licensing

Before you state your opinion you should have more facts regarding those who

opposed Rhineharts (re: the April 7 editorial, "Learn rules to know if

they're bent").

First Columbia County School Superintendent Tommy Price tries to bend the

rules by granting a waiver to allow alcohol sales within the school zone.

Then the county commissioners bend the rules for the zoning of C-1 and C-2

business. Most of the people opposed did not oppose alcohol, but we do

oppose the location within the school warning lights and on a site not zoned

for that type of business.

Perhaps you can confirm or deny that the commissioners after the fact have

changed the zoning of that site so it now fits Rhineharts. The rules do not

seem to apply to our county commissioners.
