Lake run/walk

The inaugural J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Clarks Hill Lake 5K Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. April 17 at Clarks Hill Park Day-Use Area. Participants may register on line at sas.usace.army.mil/50, or pick up applications at the Thurmond Visitors Center at the dam, at Chain Reaction Bicycles in Martinez, or at West Marine on Bobby Jones Expressway. Pool memberships

Baseball Camp

Harlem High School's annual baseball camp will be June 7-11 at the Harlem recreation field. The camp is for ages 7-14, the cost is $50 per player, and the camp will run from 9 a.m. till noon each day. For more information call Jimmie Lewis at 556-6659 or Benjie Moore at 556-9136.

Golf tournament

The second annual Harlem Relay for Life Golf Tournament will be April 17 at Three Oaks Golf Course, with four-man teams and a Lauderdale format with shotgun start at 8 a.m. Food and drinks will be available. Swimming clinics

The Aiken-Augusta Swim League is holding a series of Saturday morning clinics, titled Get Ready for Summer, from 10 to 11 a.m. each Saturday in April and on May 1. Swimmers can enroll for $15 per session.

Basketball camp
