Regarding Barbara Seaborn's column, "Arrogant Christians," which appeared in

a recent edition of The Columbia County News-Times, I want to say: Right on!

You go, girl!

As a former pastor, retired Army chaplain and retired Veterans

Administration Hospital chaplain, for more than 47 years I have been

preaching those very words of Jesus: "I am the way, the truth, and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).

I have not seen the movie The Passion of the Christ. After more than 23

years of ministry in Army and VA Hospitals, I have witnessed enough gory

scenes to last a lifetime. However, I do not need to see the movie about my

Savior's crucifixion to confirm my eternal gratefulness to Jesus for what He

did for me on the Cross. And no amount of critics, Biblical or otherwise,

will ever change my mind. Thank you, Ms. Seaborn, for having the courage of

your convictions to unashamedly share your faith with us.

On another matter altogether different, this is one Vietnam veteran who will

not be voting to elect Sen. John Kerry to the high office of president of

these wonderful United States of America.
