Lakeside coach honored

The Georgia Soccer Coaches Association has named Lakeside High School boys' soccer coach Dave Morgan the State Class AAAA coach of the month. Morgan was honored at the GSCA banquet Wednesday at Riverwood High School in Atlanta. Morgan was named GSCA Class AAAA boys coach of the year in 2003, and has led the Panthers to the state-playoff semifinals the past four seasons.

Wolfpack volleyball

The fourth annual Wolfpack Volleyball Camp will be June 7-10 at the Greenbrier High School gym. The camp will run daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and it open to girls in grades 6-9. The camp is designed to introduce all concepts of the sport of volleyball, with instruction tailored to the skill level of each individual. The cost is $60, which includes a camp T-shirt. Space is limited to 35 participants. Brochures can be picked up at Greenbrier High School, or at Columbia County middle school physical education departments.
