A Martinez soldier turned four friendly cats in to Columbia County Animal Care in Control because he was being deployed to Iraq. With his wife already there, no one was left to care for his three 1-year-old male cats and 9-month-old female. The three males two Blue Russians and a yellow-and-white tabby have been neutuered and the female Blue Russian has been spayed. They are available for adoption from the center. Adult animals cost $25 to adopt and the adoption fee for puppies and kittens cost $20. All animals must be spayed or neutered.
