St. Teresa of Avila ground-breaking

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church broke ground March 7 on the $5.5 million first phase of construction for its new church on a 44.5-acre tract on Columbia Road. The church, currently at 117 Pleasant Home Road, Augusta, has divided the construction project into three phases. The first phase is the construction of an 18,400-square-foot Parish Religion Education Building and a 28,500-square-foot Parish Life Center. The first phase is expected to be completed in 14 months.
