President's list
Shannah Waters was named to the Georgia College and State University President's List for fall semester. To be selected, the student must earn a 4.0 grade-point average on 12 or more hours of study. Shannah is a 2003 graduate of Harlem High School and is the daughter of John and Susan Waters of Grovetown.
SIU Dean's list
Several local students earned the required 3.25 to 3.75 grade-point average to be named to the Dean's List for the fall semester at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Those named to the list are: Letricia Jean Calhoun of Evans, Dennis E. Mulhorn, of Evans, Angela Wilson Rainier of Evans, Jonathan Paul Emery, of Grovetown, Richard Eric Wheeler of Grovetown, Althea Potts Williams of Fort Gordon, Walter Leonard Linney of Martinez, Christopher Travis Rpwe of Martinez, John C. Schipper of Martinez, and Ronald K. Sonsteng of Martinez.
Liberty graduate
Virginia Best of Appling recently graduated from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va., with a Bachelor of Science degree in religion.
Charleston grad
Erin Renstrom of Evans graduated in December from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education.
