Artists sought

Poster contest

Saturday is the deadline for entries in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers national water safety poster contest.

Fourth-grade pupils are asked to design a poster with a water safety message. Local winners will advance to region competition, and those winners will compete in the national contest.

Local winners will receive a water safety kit and other items for their class. The top local winner will receive a life jacket.
