Three named to honor band

sta Christian Schools students Sarah Stout (from left), Andy House and Jennifer Stroud were chosen to participate in the GMEA All-District Honor Band. They competed against public and private school students in Richmond, Columbia, Burke, Oglethorpe, Washington and Jefferson counties. The students were each ranked highest in their instrument categories, and will sit in the first-chair positions for baritone, French horn and trumpet, respectively, in the All-District Honor Band. The three students were also recommended for All-State Band auditions to be held in February. Paul Roberts is band director, and Jack Greene, assistant band director, works with individual students and small groups.
