Kicking camp
The Ray Guy Kicking & Punting Academy, a national kicking camp and talent search, is coming to Columbia County in conjunction with the Greater Augusta Sports Award Gala and the Ray Guy Award for College Punter of the Year presentation.
The camp will be held at Evans High School from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
This free camp is open to all area middle- and high-school students. Pre-registration is required, and registration forms are available at area First National Bank & Trust locations, or by contacting the Greater Augusta Sports Council at 722-8326.
Alumni soccer
The 2004 Lakeside Women's Soccer Alumni Match will be Saturday at Lakeside High School. Game time at Panther Stadium is 2:30 p.m., and the cost is $25. Rec registration
The Columbia County Recreation Department will have registration for youth baseball and softball Feb. 9 through Feb. 28. Registration will be at Patriots Park only, Feb. 9-20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Feb. 23-27 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information call 863-7523.

The Columbia County Patriots under-11 boys select soccer team has openings for experienced players. If interested, please contact Rob Davis at 860-8956. The Columbia County Patriots are a member of the Georgia Youth Soccer Association.
Volleyball clinics
The Augusta Juniors team is holding Tuesday night volleyball clinics through mid-April. The clinic times are 7-9 p.m. The sessions will be at Westside Baptist Church in Martinez, and are for middle-school and high-school players who want to sharpen their volleyball skills.
