Sheriff's 'experience' needed to keep crime low

Congratulations to Columbia County Sheriff Clay Whittle and his staff for a low crime rate in Columbia County.

Good law enforcement is not Republican or Democrat, black or white, male or female. Crime can affect any of us at any time. The only thing keeping us apart from the bad guys is our men and women of the Sher-iff's Office, working the streets of Columbia County. Whittle and his staff are constantly training and upgrading the deputies.

We need this kind of experience and dedication in our sheriff. We don't need an on-the-job trainee in a growing county that approaches 100,000 citizens.
