Seemingly abandoned Martinez cars 'disgrace'

One of the prettiest streets in Columbia County - for Christmas lights - is Flintrock Way, which runs off of Flowing Wells Road (near Martinez Elementary School).

Going to see the lights and turning off of Flowing Wells onto Flintrock, you are assaulted by the second house that has a total of 14 junk cars in the front yard and on the street (and more in the back yard).

I called the Sheriff's Department and the dispatcher said, Yes, we are aware of it. We have sent several deputies out there.

What is being done? I asked.

Im not sure, she replied.

The junkers sit there month after month, year after year. It is an eyesore and a disgrace to the community.
