Debate over new logo comes as commissioners seek more money

What is next for Columbia County taxpayers?

Now that the commissioners think that we need a fire tax that everyone pays. Even the taxpayers that own land without any structures on them will be paying unfairly.

We already have a stormwater fee that only part of the taxpayers pay - most for no services at all.

Now we want to change a perfectly good county logo. Do they realize how costly that will be?

Someone suggested a logo tax. I would agree if only the people who drive the county vehicles with the county logo on them, and the people in sight of the water tanks and signs, pay the tax.

I'm sure that the people who use the county vehicles for their personal use wouldn't mind. I'm sure that these people paid to have that expensive spray-on bed-liner sprayed in. I don't think that the county would pay for that with them crying that money is tight.
