Got scholarship money? Offer lets applicants milk it

school senior athletes can apply for the Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year scholarship awards for their chance to win a $7,500 scholarship and a starring role in a special milk mustache ad that will run in an issue of USA Today. The award, which is sponsored by the 'got milk?'/Milk Mustache campaign and USA Today, has awarded more than $1 million over the past seven years to 150 of the nation's most outstanding teens.

Winners will be selected based on four criteria: academic performance, athletic excellence, leadership skills and community service. All applicants will be required to describe in 75 words or less how drinking milk has been a regular part of their training regimens and their lives. All entries must be received on or before March 5, 2004. Finalists will be named by June of 2004.
