For long-suffering motorists on heavily traveled Washington Road, hope springs eternal.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says - finally - that repaving in Evans is scheduled to resume tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 29).
APAC-Georgia had pulled off the job while two private commercial driveways were completed. The result has been badly uneven pavement, including bone-jarring drops where the asphalt was cut off in little cliffs. Only wheel-alignment shops could be happy with this mess.
As before, most of the work will be during the evening, DOT officials say, and is scheduled to be finished before Thanksgiving.

If that happens, it certainly will be something motorist could be thankful for!
