Softball players needed

The 14U Augusta Flash girls fastpitch travel team recently completed a great season, but due to age requirements, the squad is seeking replacement players for the 2004 season. Interested players must meet the following requirements: good attitude, dedication, like to have fun, and some experience would be helpful. Tennis registration

USA Team Tennis will have registration for the Fall 2003 Junior Tennis League Saturday . The registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Petersburg Racquet Club. The season runs Oct. 5 to Nov. 16. All matches will be played on Sundays at 2 p.m. Age groups include 10-and-under, 12-and-under, 14-and-under, and 14-and-over.

Players and captains can register; those not already on a team may register as an individual and will be placed on one. The League fee of $12 covers court fees and player T-shirt. USTA membership is $13. Those without USTA membership can register online at www.usta.com and receive immediate confirmation and a membership number, or by calling the USTA at 1-800-990-8782.
