Softball players needed

The 14U Augusta Flash girls fastpitch travel team recently completed a great season, but because of age requirements, the squad is seeking replacement players for the 2004 season. Interested players must meet the following requirements: good attitude, dedication, like to have fun, and some experience would be helpful. Tennis registration

USA Team Tennis is having registration for the Fall 2003 Junior Tennis League on Sept. 20. The registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Petersburg Racquet Club. The season runs from October 5 through November 16. All matches will be played on Sundays at 2 p.m. Age groups include 10-and-under, 12-and-under, 14-and-under, and 14-and-over.

Players and captains can register; if you are not already on a team, you may register as an individual and will be placed on one. The League fee of $12 covers court fees and player T-shirt. USTA membership is $13. If you do not have a USTA membership, you can register with a credit card online at www.usta.com and receive immediate confirmation and membership number, or by calling the USTA at (800) 990-8782, and they will fax your confirmation and membership number.
