In middle-school football, not all players make team
When Evans Middle head coach Carter Morris held football tryouts earlier this month, his school didn't have enough uniforms for the large number of players.
The Evans High School Cheerleading Clinic will be Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the high school. The cost is $40, which includes a T-shirt and a snack. Participants will get to cheer at the Evans football game Sept. 26 at Blanchard Stadium. The clinic is limited to the first 60 girls, and pre-registration must be completed by Sept. 15. County's football teams fare badly in power rankings
The Georgia Varsity Sports Vent (GAVSV.com) has released its high school football power ratings for 2003, and aside from the Augusta Christian Lions, no Columbia County team cracked the top 40 in their respective classifications.
