Harlem High School's class of 1953 recently celebrated their 50th reunion at White Columns Restaurant in Thomson. The graduates discussed their more memorable events, and most said a class trip to Washington ranked highest. The class also visited Luray Caverns and other places of interest. Though most of the era's teachers and many of their classmates have passed away, 11 members of the class of '53 attended the luncheon and enjoyed a program afterward. Those attending the reunion included Linda T. Jordan (front, from left), Durrell Morris, Elizabeth Newman Connor and Mary Knox Howard; Tommy Partridge (standing, from left), Doris Key Blackwell, T.L. Smith, Peggy Thomas, Landon James and Joyce P. Parker.
