Lacrosse clinic

The Aiken-Augusta Lacrosse Club will conduct a clinic for men and women, minimum age 15, Aug. 17 at Citizens Park in Aiken. The clinic is at noon. Experience and equipment is not required. For more information call 733-4271 or 854-1908.

Swim tryouts at ASU

Aiken-Augusta Swim League, a year-round nonprofit swim team, will hold a tryout session for the 2003-04 season Wednesday at Augusta State University. Swimmers must be able to complete 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke. Tryout time for children ages 10 or under will be from 6 to 7 p.m., and tryout times for children ages 11 or older will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Call Ken Heis at (803) 613-0202 for directions and more information or see www.swimasl.org.

Swim tryouts at aquatics center

The Greater Augusta Swimming team will conduct tryouts Aug. 19-21 at Augusta Aquatics Center. Children ages 10 or younger will try out from 5 to 6 p.m., and the 11-and-older age group will try out from 6 to 7 p.m. Attendance on all three days is required to ensure a fair opportunity for coaches and athletes to work together to help make the correct placement decisions.
