District champs

The Martinez-Evans Little League (MELL) Baseball 13-14 All-Stars won the District 6 tournament June 28-July 7 and advanced to the state championship. The MELL Jr. All Stars defeated teams from Masters City (Augusta), Washington-Wilkes and Athens to finish a perfect 4-0 in defending their title. The MELL Junior All Stars are manager David Heredia Jr. (from left), Adam King, Andy House, Chaston Weaver, John Arena, Kyle Golden, Matt Fleenor, Patrick Husbands, Russ Winter, Ryan Mauro, Steven Hardy, Stuart Caughman, coach John Arena, Teddy Leverett, Zack Lawson and coach Les Winter.
