Dawgs to hold tryouts

The East Georgia Dawgs travel baseball team will hold tryouts for ages 9-14. Tryouts will be held at West Augusta Little League Park on Eisenhower Drive Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The age-control date is Aug. 1, 2004. Evans athletics

Evans High School will hold an athletic open house Thursday, Aug. 7, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the school commons area. All students, parents and community members interested in athletics at Evans are encouraged to attend. Come see our new gym floor and other improvements. Volleyball clinic

The Augusta Junior Olympic Volleyball Club will hold a volleyball clinic Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Family Y on Wheeler Road. Cindy Robarge, head coach at Coker College, will conduct the clinic. Prizes will be awarded in various categories. The cost is $25, and includes a T-shirt.
