Kids still can't drive golf cars without licenses

Re The Columbia County News-Times July 6 editorial, Why not make room for golf cars?

The editorial was good and needed to be written but, it omitted and/or implied something that isnt true. In the second paragraph it stated that a Georgia Court of Appeals decision means that kids on golf cars have to stay off county roads. This is absolutely true, but the editorial forgot to continue to state that kids must have a valid Georgia drivers license to drive these golf cars. That means that they cannot legally drive in neighborhoods without their license.

Parents allow their children to drive these cars in the neighborhood, and they are just asking for trouble. This should have been clearly pointed out in the editorial, which left the reader with a very false impression.
