This is in reference to the editorial, Could drivers ed keep kids alive? in the June 11 issue of The News-Times.
I have a daughter getting ready to go to Greenbrier High School. In a couple of years it will be time for her to get her drivers license. I totally agree with the idea of not allowing students to park their cars unless they can show proof of a drivers education course.
If more parents would stand behind this and not let their children drive until they had the course, then it wouldnt have to be put into the hands of the local officials.

I, for one, will make sure my daughter takes a drivers education class before she gets behind the wheel. More parents need to take responsibility for educating their own children.
